Welcome to The Midlife Slice, a summer series of small group workshops, boutique day retreats, coaching pop-ups, and impromptu gatherings, that invite women in midlife to say YES! to themselves. To take intentional pauses. To learn, grow and connect. To navigate midlife’s disruptors and lifequakes with more ease and understanding. To be healthier, happier, and wiser and ultimately, to thrive in their 40s, 50s and beyond.

These guided, self-discovery and wellbeing experiences offer you the space to breathe, to focus inwardly and tap into your innate wisdom and creativity, whilst enjoying the company of other midlifers and benefitting from their support, experience, and inspiration.

This retreat is your opportunity to be curious about your own fitness and wellbeing. To identify what’s important to you & the positive changes you’d like to make. You’ll create your own vision board, discover the habit strategies, routines & rituals that will support you in achieving your fitness and wellbeing goals.

However you are feeling when you arrive at this day retreat, you will leave feeling healthier, wellthier & wiser.

Menopause has its challenges. They can be physical, mental, or spiritual or a combination of all three. But it can also be a time of positivity, of renewed energy & a new you.

In this workshop, explore how a holistic approach to wellbeing, a growth mindset & being a good kind of self-ish, can make perimenopause a positive & self-nourishing experience that encourages you to make the most of the years ahead.

Turning 50 (or 40, or 60 for that matter) can evoke a wide range of emotions & thoughts. It can be a time of pride & accomplishment, anxiety & stress, reflection & introspection, or a time to focus on health & well-being or explore new opportunities.

At this retreat you are invited to say farewell to your 40s (30s or 50s), welcome in the new decade & create a clear vision for yourself and your life going forward, leaving with a commitment to making it happen.

Hi, I’m Lynda,

I am a qualified Life Coach with over 10 years’ experience. I am Third Age Women Certified (a certification focused on menopause and wellbeing), a Practitioner of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) & Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), & have recently completed ‘Navigating Midlife Transitions’ with the Modern Elder Academy.

At 55, I look back on my perimenopausal years as a time of personal growth & expansion, having experienced many disruptors, lifequakes & transitions in midlife of my own.

From ending a significant relationship, to investing heavily in my own EQ and finding my ‘Mr Right’;

 From leaving full-time employment, after 25+ years, to set up as a freelance marketing consultant & midlife transition coach.

Moving to the coast after living in London for 16 years.

From exploring respite foster caring to embracing being part of ‘the otherhood’, seeing myself as child-ful, not childless;

Accepting that my parents are in their twilight years & coming to terms with supporting them from afar;

Not knowing my ‘what’s next?’ to finding my north star;

The shedding of old identities & embracing the new, & learning to love myself, no matter what … to name but a few!

I love guiding my clients to a healthier, happier place, through the trials and tribulations of their own perimenopausal years, to the freedom of menopause and beyond.

Hi, I’m Lynda,

The Midlife Slice Impromptu Gatherings are just that. There’s no advanced schedule available, just a few days or, at times, maybe even just a few hours’ notice, for a fun event or activity that is rooted in wellbeing and with a midlife twist. 

They may be organised by The Midlife Slice, a member of the community, or in collaboration with other groups who value the same things that we do – feeling good about ourselves, our lives, and the world we live in.
