Three years ago I had zero interest in meditation. The thought of just sitting still, doing nothing, by myself, in my own world, just didn’t appeal. Why spend time meditating when I could be running or at the gym?

One relationship break-up and a guided meditation later and I had my first taste of what it could bring to my life.

After that I started to meditate on an ad-hoc basis … using it as a ‘fix’ for when I needed to relax or still my mind. I explored the guided meditations on YouTube, websites and podcasts and over time I found my meditation groove.

Three years on, and I now meditate pretty much every day … but if I don’t, that’s OK too … I use an awesome app, along with more than 2,500,000 meditators, called Insight Timer … it has over 6,400 FREE guided meditations, podcasts, how to’s and lots more.

My two favourite meditations are ‘Morning Meditation with Music’ and ‘The Secret Garden’.
